A word about grades: Master grade is the best of
the best! Tighter grain, Excellent color & better color match
backs to sides. Our A grade
is what you would normally see on a standard production model
guitar These are well quartered with good color match backs to sides . B grade will have wide grain,
or some defect such as knots less color match back to side, or
may be slightly warped.

B grade Back & Sides Classical size Guitar Set
Dalbergia Latifolia
B grade is either very wide grain and less color/grain match back to sides
or if tight grain and good color. B grade includes a wide variety of
color and grain. If there are no defects they probably will have wider
grain spacing less interesting color. Some may be in a master grade
category but will have defects such as knots, wormholes inside a normal classical size pattern. These may work for smaller instruments. If
you are making Ukulele, Mandolin or small parlor guitars.
These sets
may or may not be seasoned for years as our regular sets.

Rose Back & Side Set
This set has unusual color. It is D size. The sides had some slight
mineral I wiped one side a little with lacquer thinner and the
color from the rosewood made the mineral disappear. This would
have normally been an a grade set.

Special Rose Back & Side Set
This set has very dark color. You can easily get a C size or parlor
guitar out of this but it is a little tight at the upper bout. (see
photo) This would have normally been a Master grade set.

of the rosewood guitar set and I'm happy to say that it all looks
great! After having checked out most of the suppliers of wood, I
think your stuff is an excellent value and will make up into a really
beautiful instrument...I'm doing a DeTorres reproduction as my first
attempt, and I think the grain of this wood against the red cedar top
wood I'm using will be perfect for the traditional old Spanish
look......Also, thanks for shipping so quickly. You have a satisfied

This is very light wood. It
looks like a mahogany when it is finished but is much lighter in
weight.
We bought 10 or 12 sets of these years ago. I built one instrument
out of it, sort of going for an ultralight model. It turned out very
nice and was sold to a player who loved it. I thought I might build
more of these so I have kept these all this time but have decided to
sell these. So while they last!! |
